Four simple steps from referral to move-in
Send the referral form or an email with the SDA category in the plan, the support ratio, the preferred area, the current housing situation and how urgent the move is. Attach the occupational therapist's housing assessment if you have it.
We reply within one business day with the homes that fit, including the ones not yet on the website, and tell you plainly if nothing suits. We check the design category, the ratio and the SIL provider on site before we suggest a home.
A private walkthrough for the participant, their family and their occupational therapist, with the SIL provider present where one is already on site. Photos and a plan can go ahead of the visit for people who cannot travel easily.
We prepare the SDA service agreement, confirm enrolment and funding with the NDIA, and coordinate the move in date with the SIL provider so support starts on day one. You are copied on every step.
Tell us about your participant's requirements and we'll identify suitable SDA options.
What to send, what we can do before funding lands, and who supports the participant
Five things, and they can come in an email or through the form above: the SDA design category and dwelling type in the participant's plan, or the evidence being gathered if SDA is not yet funded; the support ratio the participant needs and whether a SIL provider is already involved; the area they want to live in and anything that rules a location out; their current housing situation and how urgent the move is; and the best person to contact. With that we can tell you the same day whether we have a match, whether one is coming, or whether we are not the right provider.
Yes. Many of the people we house first came to us while the funding request was still with the NDIA. We can arrange a walkthrough so the participant and their occupational therapist can see what a High Physical Support or Robust home actually looks like, and we can confirm in writing that a suitable dwelling is available in the category being requested. We cannot speed up the NDIA's decision and we will not hold a place indefinitely, but we will tell you honestly how long a home is likely to stay open.

In a shared home there is usually one SIL provider on site supporting everyone, and a new resident joins that arrangement. We name that provider on the listing so you can talk to them before a referral goes anywhere. In a single resident villa the participant and you choose the provider, and we will introduce you to providers already working nearby if that helps. Either way the SDA agreement is with us and the SIL agreement is separate, so a change of support provider never puts the tenancy at risk.
